BANGKOK, THAILAND, April 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People staying in accommodation in Bangkok who are missing the football season could find that a tour by an Irish club gives them a reminder of the beautiful game.
In May and June, Glentoran Football club will be heading to Thailand to play a series of friendly matches against local teams.
On May 29th the side are scheduled to play a game against Bangkok Glass FC in the second of their three matches in the south-east Asian country.
The visit by Glentoran FC to Thailand will mark the first time that an Irish team has made the journey to the nation.
Chairman at the club Aubry Ralph explained that it is "a wonderful opportunity" for both the players and fans.
He commented: "To have a unique experience travelling with the new Irish Premier Champions in a magnificent country for tourism is without precedent."
People staying in accommodation in Sukhumvit may see some of the members of the football team and their supporters out and about during their six-day stay in the capital.
Glentoran will head to Pattaya for their opening match in the series against Chonburi FC, before travelling to Bangkok to play Bangkok Glass FC and Thai Port FC.
