People visiting Phuket with their families could find that the kids are entertained by one of the Brazilian Soccer Schools being run in the resort this summer.


PHUKET, THAILAND, June 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone who is planning to stay in Phuket hotels with their family may find that the series of Brazilian Soccer School (BSS) training events being run in July could be the perfect way to keep the kids occupied.

The Phuket International Academy will run two Brazilian Futsal Training Camps for young footballers during July.

Each of the soccer schools will last for five days, with one kicking off on July 5th and the other starting on July 12th.

Any children between the ages of five and 18 are welcome to attend, with groups broken down according to age and skill level.

Budding football stars, some of whom could be staying in Thailand hotels, will be given four hours of coaching each day, designed to improve their skills on the pitch.

Head coach of BSS Phuket Martin Hill explained that all of the activities are based around a "unique skills-oriented training regime".

By the end of the week, participants will have been taught things such as "moves to beat players, turning, balances and traps, passing, ball-to-air, juggling and other core skills", he stated.

The soccer schools cost 900 Thai baht (GBP19.08) per day, or 4,000 Thai baht for the full week.

BSS operates training camps and clubs all over the world, including in the UK. British player Bruno Pilatos, who trained with BSS Sunderland, is set to appear as captain of the England youth squad at the upcoming UEFA Under-17 finals.
