All Pro Science and Tony Gonzalez Donate to Capo Valley High School
Tony Gonzalez and All Pro Science, donate thousands of dollars in products to Capo Valley High School in Mission Viejo, California.
IRVINE, CA, November 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- All Pro Science, Inc. (APS) donated all-natural nutritional supplement products, valued at more than $5,000, to Capistrano Valley High School's football program as part of APS' high school outreach program, which was established by Atlanta Falcons' tight end, Tony Gonzalez. APS has donated to similar Orange County high schools in the past, such as Buena Park and Santa Margarita, in its effort to reward student-athletes for their hard work, both on and off the field.
Players, coaches, and parents were in for a special treat when APS co-founder and President, Tony Gonzalez, called in and spoke to the team about proper nutrition and diet. "I just want everyone in America to know that taking care of yourself begins with what you eat, and that it needs to be as all-natural, as possible. The more junk we put into ourselves, the more sickness, disease, and health problems we can expect. I started APS and this program to help people change their diets and improve their lives, whether they are elite athletes or not." Gonzalez also let the players ask him questions about playing in the NFL such as: whether or not they should pick him up on their fantasy teams, what linebacker or safety hits the hardest in the NFL, and questions about his Atlanta Falcons teammates.
APS donated multiple boxes of its RECOVERY protein supplement shakes, as well as, COMPLETE Immune-D+ super-antioxidant capsules, which contain Goji berries, Acai berries, and grape seed extract, to help one's immune system. Shaker cups for each player and APS' roll-on muscle and joint reliever, RELIEF, were also donated. The high school outreach program exists to educate student-athletes on the rewards of eating and supplementing correctly, and to offer guidance to those who need it.
Capistrano Valley High School is a located in Mission Viejo, CA. According to Newsweek, CVHS is ranked in the top 2.5% of schools in the nation. It is one of only 180 schools in the U.S. and Canada that has prestigious International Baccalaureate classes available. CVHS alumni come from a long line of excellence, on and off the field. Notable alumni include Todd Marinovich, USC and LA Raider QB, William Tell, solo artist and guitarist for Something Corporate, and Colorado Rockies 2009 1st Round Draft Pick, Tyler Matzek.
"We want to thank Tony and APS for coming down to our high school, and for making this donation," says Capo Valley Head Coach Matt Poston. "I am scared to death of some of the stuff that our kids can get in health food and supplement stores, but we know what we're getting from APS and its all-natural."
"We're just happy to help where we can," says APS Director of Athletic and Public Relations Evan Brennan. Brennan, who spearheads the outreach program continued, "Coach Poston is first class, all the way. Character, hard work, and uncompromising attitude for the best are something we firmly believe in at APS, and we specifically look at a program's character long before we think about getting involved. We are hoping to work with other high schools as well, and show them the importance of taking care of your diet and body."
CVHS and APS will continue to work together to help raise money for the school and football team. APS Director Paul Edalat said, "We look for schools that promote ethics and values and we found one here at Capo Valley. When speaking of athletics, life, and supplementation, we want to promote the idea that the best way to become is the best is to stay all-natural, even if outside influences will try and push an easier way. In life there are no shortcuts."
