St. Louis Rams reciever, Laurent Robinson and Atlanta Falcons running back, Jason Snelling, join Tony Gonzalez's All Pro Science as athlete endorsers.
IRVINE, CA, November 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- All Pro Science, Inc. and its Co-Founder and President Tony Gonzalez have announced the addition of St. Louis Rams Wide Receiver Laurent Robinson and Atlanta Falcons Running Back Jason Snelling. TEAM APS includes top athletes such as NFL greats Warren Moon, Will Shields, Nate Burleson, Devin McCourty, Naufahu Tahi, Jim Leonhard, and Jason McCourty. MLB All Star Troy Tulowitzki and LA's top yoga instructor Alanna Zabel are also among TEAM APS's notable athletes. APS athletes are not paid, but instead often approach the company themselves, to be a part of its unique and wholesome message.
Snelling attended and played for the University of Virginia. His average of 5.3 yards per rush is the fifth on the school's all-time rushing record list. His 325 rushing yards in 2005 were the most by a Virginia fullback since 1994. He also led the ACC fullbacks in rushing yards in 2005. Snelling was diagnosed with epilepsy and the condition caused him to take a medical redshirt his sophomore season. His condition was eventually diagnosed and is now treated by medication. He is now an active advocate of epilepsy awareness and support.
Snelling was drafted by the Falcons in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He made his National Football League debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and scored his first professional touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. He started his first game 2009 against the New York Giants, rushing for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns on 25 carries. He finished the 2009 season with 613 yards on 142 carries with 4 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 30 passes for 259 yards and 1 touchdown. He has been a key contributor for the Falcons, providing support to star running back Michael Turner, while running for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns midway through the 2010 season. As a very health-conscious individual, Snelling is excited to be officially a part of a company that puts such an emphasis on health and nutrition.
Laurent Robinson attended Illinois State University. While there, he accumulated 192 career receptions (a school record) while contributing with 3,007 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was also a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in NCAA Division I-AA. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He competed in 15 contests (six starts) with Atlanta and recorded 37 receptions for 437 yards (11.8 avg.) and one touchdown as a rookie. In 2008 Robinson played in only six games and made 5 receptions for 52 yards. On April 8, 2009, the Rams traded for Robinson. Robinson was a starter for the Rams in 2009 until he fractured his fibula. He was then placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the 2009 NFL Season. He is currently the Rams starting receiver with Mark Clayton out for the season.
"Jason is a great teammate and a very good person. He's really done a lot for epilepsy and creating awareness for a good cause," says APS President Tony Gonzalez. "That's why APS is so excited to work with him. He knows how important it is to make people aware of how to take care of their bodies and knowing what to put in them to prevent illness."
"Laurent is a phenomenal talent, the kid can really fly," says APS Director of Athlete Relations Evan Brennan. "He's somebody that defenses are really going to have pay attention to in the future. And that's what we want, the best up and coming athletes promoting a healthy, all-natural alternative to all the junk that exists on the market. You walk into a health food store and you think you know what you're getting, but in the end you really have no clue with all the fake colors, fake flavors, and fillers in supplements these days. I think people are really opening up the idea that it's best to go all-natural and save yourself the trouble later on."
