KELLER, TX, July 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peter Alfano, most recently a Senior Writer and Editor for Star-Telegram, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in journalism.
Mr. Alfano is a communications professional with more than four decades of experience, primarily in the field of sports writing. Specializing in the coverage of men's tennis, he has traveled extensively to Europe, Asia, Australia and 46 of the 50 states. He has also covered countless major sporting events, including the Super Bowl, World Series, Daytona 500, Summer and Winter Olympics, the U.S. Open and the Masters golf tournament. For the past 12 years, he has utilized his expertise in writing as a senior writer and editor for Star-Telegram. In addition to writing and editing, he oversees all daily activities of the newspaper, including financing.
In 1968, Mr. Alfano graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. He hopes to transition into the consulting sector of his industry in the years to come. Mr. Alfano considers his success to be a direct result of his perseverance and hard work. In addition to journalism and sports, he enjoys jogging and traveling; his favorite vacation destination is San Francisco, Calif.
